What is tire retreading
Save your money. Save the planet.

Every RubberOn retread is designed for long life and outstanding performance, delivering endurance under the harshest conditions. Our exclusive process guarantees total quality control, so our customers get the lowest cost per kilometre on the market without compromising safety or quality.

Factory & expertise
World-class equipment,
run by Ugandan expertise.
Our retreading machines were procured from Italy, and the retreading technology is sourced from Germany and the USA. Paired with deep, on-the-ground experience, that gives RubberOn an optimum warranty and a quality retread that is hard to match.
RubberOn is owned and managed by experienced partners and professionals in business development in Uganda. One of the partners previously founded, and continues to develop, a leading payments platform in Uganda and across other African markets.
The engineering team is led by a partner with more than twenty years in the tyre industry, working with the biggest producers in the world, including Bridgestone, Pirelli and Continental.

Services
Retreading for the truck tyres your fleet runs.
We retread the full range of heavy truck tyre sizes, and we repair cuts on both crown and sidewall positions to keep your casings in service longer.
Crown & sidewall cut repairs
Beyond retreading, we repair cuts on both the crown and the sidewall, so a damaged casing does not end its life early.

Featured tread
M36M36 Drive On/Off
An on/off drive-wheel tread designed for a small percentage of road use and any off-road application in the MLC and Waste segments. Our treads are made to serve you almost twice as long as the competition in the market, with the right composition of natural and synthetic rubber for longer mileage, greater grip, and big savings.
Aggressive on/off-road drive pattern
Built for mixed on- and off-road duty across the MLC and Waste segments.
Deep directional tread blocks
Grooves engineered to eliminate stone trapping and protect the casing.
Open self-cleaning shoulders
Maintains traction in muddy conditions while shielding against penetrations.
High mileage, lower cost per kilometre
The right compound of natural and synthetic rubber for longer life and grip.

Why retreading wins
The numbers are on your side.
- Tyres are the second-largest expense a fleet has, after fuel.
- Retreading cuts fleet tyre costs almost in half.
- Retreading is environmentally responsible: less waste, less oil.
- In Europe around 70% of fleet tyres are retreaded, and up to 90% in some countries.
- Virtually all commercial and military jets take off and land on retreaded tyres.
- In the USA, retreads are the overwhelming choice for school-bus operators.
- The splice on a retread is the strongest part of the tyre, like a weld on metal.
